The Ontario Association of Optometrists (OAO) advises anyone planning A special precautions to protect their vision. 4 Depending on the location, the . eclipse may appear as 'partial', where a crescent of the sun is still visible, or 'annular', where the moon covers the whole sun * leaving a bright ring around the disc.
