The Street Stock, Late Model Sportsman and Thundercar classes are joined this year by the newly formed ACT Late Model division that will run every week. In the ACT Late Model Division, Derek Lynch of Norwood, Ontario held off the hard charges of fan favourites Junior Hanley, who put on a great show for all the fans to see. There was lots of hard charges, mad dashes and wheel to wheel, nose to tail, all out racing in this 100 lap ACT Special. Following close but having to settle for third in this great race was Dave Whitlock of Petrolia, Ontario. In Late- Model Sportsman Division, Alex Hamilton of Priceville, Ontario, won both pheat races while the feature was dominated by Daryl Leatherdale from Blackstock. Vic Auger from Trenton was second while Randy Gray from Brampton was third. In Street Stock Division, Brent Sullivan of Whitby was a double winner in the heats. Andy Warbutton of Oshawa also won a heat while the feature was an excellent race to see. Joe Maltett of Oshawa put on the pressure and was victorious in his efforts to grab the win: In second was Duke Paul of Oshawa followed by Brent Sullivan of Whitby, Ontario. In Thundercar Division, the cars were just awesome, the drivers ready for action and there were four different winners during the heats. Steve Drysdale of Ajax won the first one while 1993 Division Champion Doug Tédgham of Oshawa won the second Heat. Taking number three was Robert Fulton of Gores Landing and number four was won by Ken Perier of Oshawa. Doug Todgham' picked up right where he left off at the end of 1993 and won the first Thundercar feature of the year. In second was Robert Fulton and in third was Ken Perrier. The action continues next weekend once again with all four divisions competing.
