Hundreds of ident boaters and invited guests attended a reception and ribbon cutting and then enjoyed numerous activities on a very warm summer's afternoon. Scugog Mayor Howard Hall was on hand to help Phil and Ann Goreski snip the ribbon to mark this milestone for this family run business, the largest one of its kind in southern Ontario. The Mayor called it the "best facility in Ontario," and said it is "just great what Phil (and the family) have done for this community." In his remarks just prior to the ribbon-cutting, eldest son Gerald Goreksi likened the success of, the business over the last 30 years toghe popular movie "Field of Dreams" about a man who has a vision to huild a baseball field in the middle of a corn field.
