Scoring for the Arms Cate Lewis. Lisa Bonser Shauna Gault, Emily Cosway, Sara Cosway and Robin Adderley. The girls took the show on the road to Whitby on Thursday June 9 and compietely dominated the game and allowing the opposition just one shot on goal for the entire game. - Missing five regular players didn': seem to bother thes team as they went to Whitby with win on thes mind. The game featured some outstanding plays. The first was perfectly arched corner kick hy Sara Cosway that found he top left hand corner of the goal. This corner kick goal wae the result of some special coaching by Clive Roape. In"the second half Paula" Reed headed a corner kick taken by Sara for super goal. The girls were in control of this game from start to finish. Other goal scorers were Kim Sproule, Robin Adderley, Lisa Bonser with three and Paula had two more. The score could have been much higher except for many saves made by the Whitby Keeper. In the end the Arms came home with 9-0 win! Well Done! Special! thanks to Mandy akefora trom the U-15 Team who played in this game. Next game will be June 23 in Pickering at 9:00 under the lights. The team has now won three ina TOW. Midget Angels in a rout The Scugog Midget Angels handed the Whitby Hawks a 12- 5 defeat last Thursday night in Whitby. The Angels were led by Stacie Jenkins who drove home seven runs while hitting safely in her three trips to the plate. Michelle Scott homered to put the Angels up 3-0, but Whitby rallied on a walk, three singles and home run to take a 5-3 lead after three innings. The Angels erupted for four rung in the 4th as Stacie Jenkins homered with the bases loaded. Oshawa opened the scoring in their half of the first, before the Angels struck for four in their half of the inning. Royals scored runs in the second and third innings while holding Angels off the board. But Angels added six in the bottom of the 5th and one more more in the 6th. Dudgeon and Wrightman went 4 for 6 at the plate in this one while Adamson and Scott were 3 for 4. Cain had two singles and walk, Jennifer £ngun, Kim Poppleton and Julie Ball had singles. Robin gave up 11 hits to to get the victory orfthe mound." In Ancaster over the weekend, the Midget Angels lost 6-1 to Thorold, and 6-0 to Haldimand Juniors. But they bounced back with a 4-3 win over Markham Juniors as Nikki Christie went two for three, including a triple, with an RBI.
