{ Action from the Scug UNDER SIX REPORT n June 14, 1994, Haugen's iia had a good outing nst Second Hand for Kids, with Scott scoring a hat trick and Cassandra adding one. Rory helped out with an assist. Sara Landry kicked in an early goal for the Kids, Jamie Cruickshank showed good positional play on defense, and Justin Young showed enthusiasm at all positions. Laurentian Bank came back from a 4-1 deficit to just edge out the Royal Canadian Legion in the last minutes of the game to take a 5-4 win. For the Bankers, Jason Salini showed good skills. Ryan Samis was solid in net with good defense by David Low and Kyle Passmore. Luke Pither scored the first two for the Legion. Roman Vigliotti and Brett Pope each notched one. Haugen's Chicks had another great game on June 15, defeating Port Perry Printing by a 6-1 margin. Scott Partington was the MVP with five goals, assisted by Tommy Whiteway and Kim Rankin. Shayne Taylor kicked in one and both Neil Harris and Cassandra Elliot showed tremendous improvement in their play. UNDER SEVEN RESULTS Brian's Towing continued their winning season against "Lake Scugog Lumber. Mike Wallace had a huge game with four goals, and the team was helped by strong defensive play form Keith Steele, Ian Wick and Britini Smith. Caylie Gilmore and Stewart Medford Jhon the lumberkids in the B ame with a goal each. Kyle Paige, Shanalyn Robinson and Phillip Rudkin also contributed a fine effort. Komputer Klinic defeated the Port Perry Lions 7-5 for their first win of the season. Jonathan Hamelinck led the way" with four goals. Also scoring were Jeff Rankin with two and Alexandra Moffat with one. Solid efforts were turned in by Spencer Marlow and Amy Rensink. The Lions kept things close with goals from Darren DeKoning (two), Michael Wilson . (two) and Matt Robinson. Two goals were scored by Kyle Geer, one by Trevor Chandler and one by Adam Smart. Kristie Ashton had a terrific first half, and Adam Farnley provided good coverage throughout the game. Willowtree Farms just edged out Antrim House for their first win of the season, 4-3. Daniel Bois got the hat trick, and Blake Cunningham added one. Strong passing skills and good defensive play was the key to Waterfront Cafe's victory over Burketon. Special mention goes to Rebecca Cruickshank, Melissa Hales and Amy Valkenburg for their hatd effort. Sarah Walker and Erin Cleyndart showed gogd playmaking skills. David Halward was awesome with six goals, and Spencer Churchill picked up a hat trick. Lea Lansdell scored twice, Peter Konstantinopolous and Nicole Ansell each added one. Jason Morrison put Burketon on the boafd. In their second game of the week, Green Apple Cabinet Te ed undefeated with a 2-0 Amanda Hockley. Brandon Spearing notched two for victory of Willowtree Farms. Goals were #by Stacey South Port wins Herbally Yours hosted South Port Gardens on Thursday June 16 which was a very hot humid night. The girls played a very well fought game with both teams pretty evenly matched. Jennifer Hancock started Herbally Yours with a two base run. Holly Stone had a great hit getting our first two runners over home plate. In the last inning Lynda Brooks caught a fantastic{ly. Tanya Wilson of South Port Gardens pitched a great game. She also made some good outs with Laura Hooker at first base. The following Monday Adam Jones recorded his second shutout as Re/Max defeated Whitby Kinsmen 5-0. Adam Hobbs led the way with two goals. Singles went to Josh Rodd, Tyler Wootton and Matt Brown. Adam Hobbs and Josh Rodd both had two goals in Uxbridge last Wednesday night at Re/Max defeated Uxbridge 7-0. The shutout was shared by Adam and Josh, as single markers went to Ian Parliament, Tyler Wootton and Chris Murphy. a 13-13 deadlock Towne Fireplace was the home team versus Power Workers Union on the hottest night of the year last Thursday, June 16. The fans were treated to a seesaw battle as Towne came back scoring runs in the bottom of every inning to earn a 13 all tie at games end. Unfortunately, these games are allowed to end in a tie (sister kisser) since there is school/work the next diy.
