This gave the Angels six wins and no losses, They also have five games in hand Scugog Angels 12-0 Angela Davis gave us only four hits in winning over Whitby "Hawks" on Thursday night in Whitby. They held Whitby off the score sheet, as they proceeded to score 12 runs over the night. Angela Davis not only pitched, but had two hits and 2 RBI also before giving way to Cheryl Vaughan who added a single also. The Angels broke through in the second as Carrie Canning doubled. Sherri Brown had a bunt single, but the race horse beat it out, as Canning scored. Tara Mowden then singled. Angela Davis drove home both girls on a triple, then scored on Tracy Smith 's single. Then the race horse took over as she drew a walk. Angela Davis singled and two overthrows, she raced around the bases to score. A walk in the fifth to Nancy McConnell, a sacrifice, and a double by Carrie Canning scored McConnell to make the score six nothing. They then scored six in the sixth to win the game 12-0 over Whitby Hawks. Lisa Crooker opened the sixth with a single, there was a walk to Cheryl Vaughan and a single to Tracy Smith. Kim Stewart singled, Cathy Davis singled, as did Joyce Parkinson and Sherri Brown before the inning ended. The Angels are gearing up for the Ontario Qualifiers in Grafton Ontario in two weeks. The Midget "Angels" start their qualifier in Scarborough next week.
