Included in the three day fair are cattle shows, horse shows and the Homecraft Buildings will be open for the public to see the exhibits. Starting on the Friday night, September 2, Warren Sutcliffe of View Lake and the Blue Steel Bank will be entertaining with country and western music. Many will remember Warren and the boys when they played for a number of years on the Tommy Hunter show. The beer tent this year is sponsored by the Port Perry Fair Board and the local Lion's Club. Saturday is KIDS DAY when all children are admitted free. The midway is in full operation with plenty of rides, and games. Don't forget the Toactor Pull on Saturday night, starting at 7pm. Sunday offers horse racing, horse shows, cattle shows, a fiddling contest and for the teens there's the Much Music Videos starting 6:30 on Sunday night in the Entertainment Building. Tanglefoot, a group from Peterborough will be appearing on stage on Monday and the Kick Up a Fuss Cloggers from Markham will be entertaining that day too. Detailed programs are available at the Tourist Information Booth on Water Street, The Scugog Public Library or call the fair secretary, Shirley Hunter at 985-3819. It's easy to enter at the fair. Simply fill in the entry form located in the middle of the program booklet and submit it to the secretary who will complete entry tags for your items. You attach these entry tags to your article and bring them to the fair grounds on the Friday night. All exhibitor items are on display for the duration of the three day fair. It's recommended that all exhibitors submit their entry forms to the Secretary now. This will avoid having to wait for tags to be completed at the fair. Two Sea-Doo's gone Durham Police are investigating the theft of two Bombardier Sea Doo's worth $6500 each. They were stolen over the weekend from a residence at Williams Point Road, east of Caesarea. Thieves also took the trailer worth about $1400. Meanwhile, a Greenbank man was wakened early Monday morning by the sound of a truck in his driveway. He looked out to see thieves making off with his 1989 GMC Sierra. By the time he got outside the truck and the occupants were gone, said a Police spokesman.
