Lennis Trotter, who owns his own architectural business in Oshawa designed the gazebo style club house. Both men worked together to co-ordinate the entire project. The miniature golf course is unique because of its bunkers (sand traps) and the actual greens are astro turf filled with silica sand which gives the golfer the feeling of speed of real greens on a regular golf course. Speaking to the Citizen, Mrs. Trotter stated "we wanted it to have the feel of a golf course, next to the real thing". In the club house you can buy ice cream products, chips, cold pop and hog dog or sausage on a bun are also sold. Mfhiature golfing can now be a family affair as there are miniature putters for the youngsters too. Country Acres is a full golf practice facility offering a driving range, target greens, a practice bunker and has grass tees as well as astro turf mats..
