The "big bird" is actually a giant metal Eagle made several years ago by Bert Hoskin Weighing over 1000 pounds and with a wing span of nearly 20 feet the Eagle is a fearsome looking fellow with his claws sunk into a large fish, also made from metal The auction will be held this coming Saturday at the property of Mr. Hoskin at 15701 East Quarter Line, just east of Nestleton off Highway 7A. The first gavel will come down at 10:30 AM sharp This giant Eagle would certainly turn a few heads perched in the front yard or in front of a business. And it's already mounted on a trailer so the purchaser can just hook up and drive it home If the Eagle is just a bit too big for your liking, you might be interested in a Canada Goose, sculpted by Mr. Hoskin from the iron rims of old wagon wheels. This Goose measures about 12 feet across the wing span and tips the scales at some 400 pounds.
