Car show will let you take a trip down memory lane by Heather MeCrae If, you want to trip down memory lane this Sunday and indulge in a little nostalgia, take a jaunt over to the Scugog Shores Museum and visit the Cruisin' Classics Car Club annual car show. Two members of the club who have had an avid interest in old cars since their childhood days are Paul Phillips and Ed Smale. He's location is perfect for the show, with the green grounds maintained by Paul throughout the summer, plenty of shade and music galore. At the show there are trophies and plaques given _out for 245 different categories. "We have a 'Best Car Club Display' for rival car clubs" says Ed, adding "our cars are not judged because we're the host club". No one went home-empty-handed last year as there were over 100 door prizes and a 50/50 draw. Weather permitting, SNAP-ON TOOLS will be having a huge display at the show this Saturday. Last year the tool company donated a 14-karat gold screwdriver in celebration of its 60th anniversary and it was won by the owner of a 1940 Ford Convertible, also being the sixtieth registered car to enter the grounds.
