Port took the advantage of an Owen Sound penalty, with a nice pass from Brad Johnston to Greg Burton and then over to Jeff Ashton and in it went to put Port on the scoreboard. Our man Chris Monsma was in the net for this game and he was pretty amazing to say the least. The opposition challenged us on numerous occasions but we were not going to let this team get on the board. Nick Pelyk, Ryan McQuade, Greg Bruton, Brad Johnston, Jeff Ashton were awesome on the power play putting in their total effort. Their hustle paid off putting Port on the board first when Jeff Ashton let one heck of a slap shot go from the blue line, the Woolwich goalie is still looking to see where that shot came from. Port kept on the pressure letting shot after shot go on the Woolwich goalie but he would not let us by him no matter what we tried to do.
