Father Charles Faleiro will officiate the Mass at 2:00 PM at Immaculate Conception Church in Port Perry. Mrs. Harper first started her - municipal work in 1972 as a clerk with former Cartwright Township and continued with Scugog Township after the municipal amalgamation in 1974. She was appointed treasurer in the summer of 1983. Township administrator Earl Cuddie said the news of Mrs. Harper's death came as a real shock to co-workers at the municipal office. "She was very well liked. She worked very hard, and was so dedicated to the Township," he said. Mrs. Harper had been on a medical leave of absence from her duties as treasurer since early this year.
