The final in this one was 7-0. But don't be fooled by the score. The game was) actually quite a bit closer. ~ Matt Willetts got the shut-out for Port Perry, and he deserved it as this one was anything but a walk in the park. Willetts had to be extremely sharp on numerous occasions as the Lightning buzzed around in the Port Perry zone. It was his stellar performance that tipped the scales in favour of Key-Bar. On the scoring side, Sean McEnaney led Key-Bar with a nifty five-goal performance. He got the game's opener early in the first, added another late in the initial stanza, and then fired a natural hat trick in the middle frame to complete his five-goal outing. Chad Garvock got the other goals for Key-Bar and chipped in with three assists as well for a five point effort. Darrell Vanderligt had an outstanding game as a playmaker as he set up five of the seven goals, while Joe Broadworth collected two assists. Aaron Graham and Ed Cook shared the goaltending duties for the Lightning and found themselves under heavy fire from Key-Bar most of the game. And the Lightning was short- staffed for this one with six players out of the lineup with suspensions. Despite the lop-sided score, the players kept their cool throughout and ref Dave Ballingall handed out just five minors--three to the Lightning * and two to Key-Bar. veteran skips and their rinks.
