After having a neck fusion and a short stay in the hospital he made a strong recovery. Awed with his recovery Ted's doctors agked him to make several guest appearances at medical conferences. Another time he separated his shoulder «in. a bicycle accident. And despite the pain, he got back on the bike and pedalled to Sunnybrook Hospital! Being a bachelor he says his talents aren't high -in-the kitchen. Admitting that he eats out quite a bit, he tries to maintain a healthy diet, eating lots of fruit and salads. "But you rate my breakfast" he said. Because he's so active the first part of the day Ted feels his breakfast must be the most important meal of the day. A usual breakfast is 2 shredded , wheat biscuits, topped with layers of bran, Alpen, raisins, and slices of banana and apple. Add yogurt, black strap molasses and a bit of wheat germ-and you've got yourself a breakfast that'll get you through any sort of day. 1 was full halfway through his list of ingredients! Semi-retired now in the investment business, he says "I never like to say I'm retired. I don't like to think I never do anything or work" he said. Living with his three cats on his 12 acres, he's never smoked or drank' and is thankful for his healthy lifestyle. Spring like theme. The Scugog Strings with Violinists Doreen Adams, Bonnie Bell, Urd Grander, Joanne Yourkevich, Paul Puckrin and Stan Rickard along with Edna Beckett on the Cello and Doug Barber on the Bass entertained us with a number of familiar tunes. A violin duet with mother and daughter, Joanne and Katharine Yourkevich was enjoyed by all. A Mother's Day Specials DROP INTO RICK'S FOR A GREAT NEW LOOK for SUMMER! Gift Certificates are Available.
