Police investigate theft of vehicles Durham Police are investigating vehicle thefts that k place the night of May 6-7. olice say a 1993 Plymouth Voyageur was discovered in the lot of a service station on Highway 7A in Port Perry. The ignition column had been' smashed out and the vehicle had been reported stolen in Bowmanville. That same night a similar vehicle was reported stolen from a parking lot of Water Street. It had not been recovered as of Monday morning, said a Police spokesman. Police are also investigating a rash of thefts from vehicles in the Borelia Court area the night of May 4-5. At least five vehicles were broken open with several cell phones and stereo equipment reported missing. «Early in the morning of May 6, a 1991 Pontiac 6000. was reported stolen in the View Lake area. ,'., A couple: of hours later, Police found the car on Old Simcoe Street north of Port Perry. It had been torched and was completely destroyed.
