Offensively, pitcher Mike Thompson helped his own cause with a double to start the home half of the first inning. This was followed by a walk to Scott Evans and a Pierce Jones sacrifice bunt. Jordan Froats then singled to cash in two runs and eventually came home on a passcd ball to give Port (Port Perry that is) a three run lead at the end of the first. The Moore Lawn Care team continued to.build on their early success to polish off Port Hope by a final score of 11 to 5. Both eventually came around to score, the last two runs for the home team. Chet Martin and Jordan Froats each contributed a scoreless inning on the mound in this team effort, for a well deserved win.
