All games played to date have been registered and thus the standings are official for this week ending July 7th. T-BALL Super Spud - 17 Blackstock Lions - 9 Super Spud upped their winning streak to 3 straight wins behind an all around team effort. Tim Traquair had a home run while Danielle Wolters and Johnathon VanOostveen scored three times each. Defensively, Luke Michel made six outs at first base while Cody James caught a fly ball The Lions got a 4 bagger from Myles Romain while Kaléb Sprang and Mercedes Weber crossed home plate twice. A solid fielding game was turned'in'by Nicole MacLeod. Blkstk Figure Skating Club - W Analda Garden Centre - L The Skating club got back to winning as they beat the first place®Gardeners to create a real battle for the league crown Leading the way for the winners was the family tandom of Kaitlyn and Jesse Taggart who each hit a double. Nathan Alpe continued his fine year with another home run for BFSC. The bit hit for Analda was Kim Radford's home run. Also collecting extra base hits were Michael Rossler with a double and% triples by Natalie DeJong and.= Patrick McCrudden. TYKE Pe Agri-Vaders - 1 Wotten Hammerheads - 1 The Hammerheads remained in first place as the evenly matched teams battled to the tie. Joel Michel's RBI single for the Vaders tied the game aftér Patrick Wotten had homered to give Wotten's the short lived lead. Natasha Foote also had a single for Spring Grove while Devon Berry played a strong game at short stop for Wotten's. SQUIRT - { Martyn Consulting - 15 Antrim House - 12 The consulting crew stayed in first place with a strong defénsive game. Julia Martyn turned a double play while Michael Marsh recorded 3 outs in the 3rd inning. Marsh also led the offense with 3 hits including a triple. Amanda Lowe led Antrim's with a 3 for 3 night at the plate which included a grand slam home run in the 4th inning when her team scored the maximum 6 russ Emma 'Marshall also had 3 hits in a losing cause. d Mann's Sweet Corn - 13 Antrim House - 10 In a week #2 rain out game, the Cornhuskers kept their first place * hopes alive. Chris Goble led the offence with a home run while Krystin Bronson and Bradley Sutcliffe led the defense. Stephanie Kingswell had a double while Emma Marshall and Amanda Lowe pitched well for Antrim House. SENIOR Dr. Workman Hawkeyes i 13 Don Frew & Sons - 6 Defense won this game as the Hawkeyes played a fine defensive game shutting down the Frew crew in 2 innings and giving up no more than 2 runs in any inning. Solid pitching by Ryan Prescott, Mathew Flynn and Andrew Marsh combined with timely hits by Pam Goble and Josh Martyn led the Hawkeyes to victory. The Don Frew team was led by a 3 for 3 night at the plate for Troy Masdppin and some excellent back catching by Laura Tyrell and a take one for the team comeback by Darryl Keeler Philp Firebirds +11 Baker Roadrupnegy'- 6 A lot of bard hit balls past a short.staffed team gave Philp's their 2nd win, James Hobbs had the big hit with a home run while Steven Larmer played a strong defensive at first base as well as providing 2 innings of strong pitching. Jake Jones was the game star for the Roadrunners. MITES Hometown IGA - 17 Cummirfgs Backhoe - 13 Twelve puns in the first 2 innings held up as IGA ran their streak to 7 wins. Alex Blue led IGA scoring 3 runs and playing a strong gfme at first' base while Shawn McNamara also scored 3 times and collected 4 RBI's. Jamie Newman madé a great running catch in the 4th inning to be the defensive star for IGA. Andrea Bonsma led Cummings with 4 RBI's off an opening inning single and a triple in the 4th. Scott Philp also had a good night at the plate with 2 hits as well as scoring twice. Defensively Cummings made some fine outs at first base in the evenly played game. The 'new' diamond will now allow for the playing of hardball as well as safer play by all teams. Some minor .repairs were done to the SE diamond which now makes this a better field. .
