Figures released by the Township last week show permits in November reached a total dollar value of $1.3 million, about $100,000 less than the same month a year ago. So far in 1995 (to the end of November) the Township has issued 253 permits worth just over $9 million. By comparison to the end of November in 1994, Scugog issued 227 permits valued at $10.3 million. The 1995 numbers were helped considerably by the $946,000 permit issued for construction of the Scugog Centre Community Hall at the Arena. So far this year, there have been 53 permits for single family homes valued just over $5 million. Last year at this time, there had been 58 SFH permits issued with a value of just over $7 million. One major dollar decline this year in the value of permits for industrial/farm buildings. Last year, there were 19 permits worth $977,000. This year, there have been 18, worth $385,000.
