The Taylor Aces and the Monsma Chargers played the first game and in the first period the Aces were off to a 4 - 1 lead. The first of the four goals was scored by Richie LeFort and assisted by Mark Jobb and Steve Dunn. The next three were scored by Mark Jobb, assisted by Richie *LeFort. As well, Ken Little assisted with the third and fourth goals. The Chargers' goal was scored by Jack Monsma and assisted by Lee Wilbur and Steve Churchill. The final goal was scored by the Aces in the third period with a shot from Mark Jobb, assisted again by Richie LeFort. In game two the J & D Hawks beat the Fitzgerald Clippers 3 - 1.
