Yes, the Kub Kar Races are over for another year. in Pine Ridge District. From Monday to Saturday the Cubs from Uxbridge, Seagrave, Sunderland, Cartwright, Scugog Island, Manchester and Port Perry have raced their cars for speed and had their cars judged for best design, best boy only design and best paint as well as other trophies. The winners of boy only design were Patrick Brartdon of Uxbridge "B" who placed 1st, Jason Wanamaker of 2nd Scugog The Tangled Garden, the fabric art of Bill Fitches opens with a reception for the public to meet the artjst Saturday, April 13 from "1 to 4, pm. Show continues till May 3 at Scugog Memorial Library, 231 Water Street. Pill is the head of the Art Department at Eastdale Collegiate in Oshawa. Wil Corneal was the official race co-ordinator for both the 18 wheeler and for, the finals on Sunday. This was the 8th year that the Legion has let Port Perry host the District Kub Kar Races.
