Grant Yeo is a graduate of McMaster University and has a Master of Arts degree from the University of British Columbia. He has held a number of positions of responsibility within the field of education, many of them (lower level) at 319 Queen St. Port Perry. Lake Scugog is one of the most unique.lakes in the province, and certainly throughout the Kawartha Lakes system. Its waters are extremely fertile. Despite. heavy fishing pressure due to its proximity to the largest urban areas of the province, and being the only lake in the Kawartha hea produce significant i of walleye, bass, muskie and panfisH, in terms of both quantity and quality. .Ongoing reductions in funding for the Ministry of Natural Resources mean that if we want this fishery to be maintained or' improved, the onus is on us to get involved. This will be the inaugural chapter of the Kawartha Fisheries Association, and will therefore be an exciting opportunity for members of the public who wish to become hands-on in the development of angling resources, policies, regulations} education, research, and be directly avy fishing the Ministry of Natural Resources, and the Ontario Federation of Anglers & Hunters, among others. « The guest speaker at this second meeting will be Al Wanio from the MNI Al nas been the coordinator of bath CFIP and CWIP" (Fisheries & Wildlife Improvement Programs) on behalf of the MNR.
