Bill ah 5 asi iJust Ducky' voyageurs appreciated Doreen Kendall (centre) and Bill Brock were pre- sented with plaques by the Scugog Shores Museum and Canoe the Nonquon Saturday | evening. Making the presentations were, at left, Yvonne Christie and Joan Scott of the Canoe the Nonquon committee and Gail Sheridan (right), museum curator. It was their way of saying "thanks a lot" to Bill and Doreen for their fundraising efforts and Doreen paddled the infamous 'Just Ducky' canoe and raised several thousand dollars for the museum. In accepting the plaques, Doreen said it was on behalf of all the people who volunteer for the museum. "We all love this museum and we want it for our children." Bill said Doreen was the driving force 'behind the 'Just Ducky' voyage and added, it's been "fun, really fun." And yes, watch for Bill and Doreen and the canoe next year on the Nonquon. One plaque will be displayed permanent- ly at the Scugog Shores Museum on Scugog Island. Give Mom a break tohight...order pizza!
