Making the presentations were, at left, Yvonne Christie and Joan Scott of the Canoe the Nonquon committee and Gail Sheridan (right), museum curator. It was their way of saying "thanks a lot" to Bill and Doreen for their fundraising efforts and Doreen paddled the infamous 'Just Ducky' canoe and raised several thousand dollars for the museum. In accepting the plaques, Doreen said it was on behalf of all the people who volunteer for the museum. "We all love this museum and we want it for our children." Bill said Doreen was the driving force 'behind the 'Just Ducky' voyage and added, it's been "fun, really fun." And yes, watch for Bill and Doreen and the canoe next year on the Nonquon.
