We had a contest appropriate to the season, the answers to all ques- * tions being found in "Shamrock." Then we had a lucky number contest, the prizés being a miniature green pig and a green pot holder in the shape of a shamrock, also a green contest. E Miss G. Stovin gave a humorous recitation, reminiscent of 'Dear Old Ireland." Mrs. Peters read an essay on "Men" and Miss M. Bongard gave a recitation. A delicious lunch, served by the March group, topped everything after which a vote of thanks was extended to Mrs. Hall for her hospitality. We then made our farewells and wended our way homeward. RETURNED HOME FROM ENGLAND. Mr. R. M. Holtby, who spent.some 'weeks in England and Scotland re- cently, has returned home, His mis- sion was to take preliminary steps in helping to establish a _ market. for Holstein cattle in Great Britain. The trip was considered a very successful one viewed from the connections es- tablistied and the information gained as to 'the requirements and restric- tions of the British cattle market. Mr. Holtby is looking well and says that he had a most enjoyable trip. His admiration for the British people "has increased because of his contact with them, and because he has seen something of the immensity of the problem successfully met by the peo- ple of the Mother Country.
