Mrs. Patterson is enjoying a visit from her daughter Mrs. Groupe who arrived from Philadelphia last Wed- nesday. There seems to be much sickness in the village. Mrs. Williams took very ill a week ago Wednesday morn- ing and is still very sick. Mr. B. Woodley is also ill, but is somewhat improved, Mrs. Wannamaker has gone to the General Hospital in To- ronto where she is receiving treat- ment. Miss F. Hiscox and Mrs. Ball motored to Lindsay with Miss Grace] Davis, of Port Perry, last Tuesday. Mr. and Mrs. D. Warren, of Osh- awa, were in the village on Sunday, |} bringing Mr. and Mrs. John Warren home from Oshawa. Both Mr. and Mrs, Warren are in poor health. Last week was an off week for the girls' softball team. On Monday they went to Blackstock where they lost by | § a score of 19-9 and on Wednesday night at Honeydale they again were losers by a score of 17-19. Mrs, E. Lyle and Murray spent the 1st of July holiday with friends in Toronto and saw the British Army planes flying at Exhibition Park. Miss Etta Smith who has been teaching in Eastern Ontario has ar- rived home, ; Sunday visitors to the village were Mr. and Mrs. W. Butson and daughter of Toronto with Mr. and Mrs. R.
