Burnett's woods, After var- ious games were enjoyed, a lovely lunch was served, to which all did ample justice, returning home in the evening feeling happier for the nice time spent by all. Ewen, in their recent bereavement. re The Manilla and Seagrave baseball juniors played a lively game of ball on the home diamond, on Saturday afternoon. The score was 8-5 in favour of Seagrave. The return game will be played at Manilla in the near future, Mrs. Cephas Sleep, Mrs. S. J. Wool- dridge and Miss Aileen Fishley spent a day in Toronto last week, the latter visiting with her sister who had un- dergone an operation for appendicitis. She' found her doing as well as could be expected. Mr. Peter Pickard, of Sudbury, a former resident of Seagrave, paid a flying visit last week renewing old acquaintances, We are pleased to have Mr. and Mrs. A. Snyder back again, 'after spending the winter in Toronto and other places. A family reunion was held at the home. of 'Mr. and Mrs. A. Martin on Sunday in honour of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Bryant, of Moose Jaw, who are spending a holiday among relatives. After an absence of twenty-three years Mr. and Mrs. Bryant find many changes since leaving here. Sorry to report Mr. Bryant in very poor health for some time. We trust the change will do them both good. Rev. Mr. Flindall occupied the pul- pit on Sunday evening as usual, after attending Conference at Peterboro, and passed on some very inspiring messages.
