Page Four PERSONAL A very pleasant' evening was held on Tuesday, October 29th, in honour of Mr. and Mrs. Thompson (nee Mar- jory Palmer) when friends numbering fifty-five, gathered at the home of Myr. Stanley Ploughman. Many love: ly gifts were received, The evening was spent in cards and dancing which was enjoyed by all, Mr. Bruce McDonald, of "Thornhill, and Mr. Allison Cowan, of Toronto, spent the week end with Mr, and Murs. -Roy Cornish. A pleasant evening was spent on October 22nd, at the home of Mrs. Geo. Palmer, when a number of the young ladies of the town, held a kitchen shower for Marjory Palmer, at which she received many useful gifts, The annual Hallowe'en Bazaar and supper held at the Anglican Church last week was well patronized by the people of Port Perry. The members of the Women's Guild are very grate- ful to all who came and helped in any way to make it a success, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Dance, of Col- borne were in town on Tuesday on their way to the Fowl Supper at Sea- grave.
