It being literary night the leader of that committee, Miss D. Reynolds, had arranged a very interesting pro- gram on hymns and their authors. Miss Adele Wooldridge gave a short paper on the hymn "Jesus shall reign" written by Dr. Isaac Watts, from Psalm 72. It is to verse 8 of this Psalm that the Dominion of Canada owes its name, Two of the heat known hymns of Dr. Watts are, "Comé Holy Spirit Heavenly Dove", and "When 1 Survey. the Wondraus Cross", Miss Norma Moon chose as her hymn, "My Faith Looks Up to Thee".
