Bell, the remains being laid to rest in Devitt's cemetery beside her father and mother and two brothers, John and Robert Bruce. At the death of the de- ceased's sister-in-law Mrs. R. Bruce, ot Cartwright, she came back and Kept house for her brother, first on his 1arm and later in the village to which they had retired and where Mr. Bruce aied in 1930, The late Murs. Brandon was a taithtul member of the United Church and of the W. A. and W.M.S. Although sulfering for a number of years trom bronchial asthma she was always bright and cheerful with a iriendly little smile and word for everyone. For the past two years she enjoyed the companionship and help of her cousin Mrs. D. Heaslip who lived with her and who nursed her during her last brief illness. The sincere sympathy of the som- munity is extended to Mrs. Heaslip and to all who are left to moun the passing of the deceased. On Friday, August 7th, the funeral cortege of the late Mrs. Harry Oliver wended its way to the Union Cemes tery at Cadmus from the village of Blackstock where for fifty-two years she and her husband have been highly esteemed residents, The deceased was born in England and there in St. James Anglican Church on. February 25th, 1883 she and Mr. Oliver Avere united in marriage, coming to Canada on their wedding trip. Three years ago on February 25th, 1933, they cele- brated their fiftieth wedding anniver- sary. Mrs, Oliver was possesed of a quiet unassuming disposition, devot- ing most of her time and-care- to her home and family. She was a faithful wife, a loving and devoted mother and a good neighbour. For a number of years she has suffered from a painful illiess which left her practically help- less but she bore it all patiently until death came as a welcome release. Through her lengthy illness she re- ceived from her husband and daughter Geo. Crawford, Sr, all the care that willing and loving hands could give her. The funeral service was held from her late residence and was conducted by her pastor Rev. H. Bell, assisted by Rev. C. C. Harcourt. The pallbearers were Messrs, H. Mount- joy, J. Larmer, J. Jobb, Jas. Byers, I. Whitfield and G. Forder. The floral offerings which evinced in a quiet way to the loving csteem in which the de- ceased was held weré from husband, daughters, son Harry and family, R.
