K. As the end drew near he became unconscious and seemed to sleep away, a od ~ He was born in 1862 near Brougham in Pickering Township. As a young man, Mr, Robertson taught school for a few years then he went back to the farm at which occupa e remained for the rest of his life. vious. to coming to Prince Albert he farmed in Shirley district. He was a faithful Presbyterian and took an active part in that Church's work. Feeling the burden of years heavier, he has fre- quented of late the village United % | Church, where he took a keen interest in the young people and their ac- tivities. In the Men's Class his personal presence wil be sorely missed but there will remain remembrances of the good advice he was accustomed to offer, especially to the younger men, The last year found him taking much interest in the Young People's Society, particularly in its debates. He was-a God-fearing man, honest, careful in his judgment of others, a good and intelligent conversationalist. We shall remember Mr. Robertson as through the years wended his way faithfully to his church. Mr. Robertson is survived by his widow (nee Anna Turner), one daughter Mrs. Albert Jeffrey, Prince Albert, two sons Corey, near Utica, Ansel, near Uxbridge; one sister Mrs. E. A, Walker, Port Perry; and one brother Mr. M. Robertson, of Toronto. To these we extend our sympathy. The funeral was held at his late residence on Tuesday, Oct. 20th, and was conducted by Rev. Mr. Smyth, | Interment took place at Pine Grove _ | Cemetery. "The golden evening brightens in the west; _| Soon, soon to faithful warriors cometh ? rest; Sweet is the calm of Paradise the blest."
