Smyth Thursday, July 28, 1937 Dear Mr, Farmer: We had a fine trip to New York one week ago to-day, From Buffalo we rode in a New Grey Hound bus all night and found it very comfortable. After a day and night in New York City visiting Radio City, etc.,, we em- barked at noon on Saturday and have had an excellent voyage. A canoe would weather any sea we have seen thus far. The "Brittanic" is a motor ship and is exceedingly smooth. We haven't missed a meal, and I have slept as soundly as I do in the parsonage. 'The meals are splendid and the ser- vice all that one would desire. The contacts with different people are very enjoyable and profitable. To-night we are in a fog, about 2100 miles out of New York harbor. I ex- pect to leave the ship at Queenston Saturday morning and spend the week end in Cork and the Killarney region, and spend a few days in Southern Ire- land before going to Dublin and Bel- fast. I am thinking of all the good friends in Port Perry and sending them my warmest regards from this southern port on the Emerald Isle. Yours sincerely, W.J. H.
