He leaves to mourn his passing, two sons Hershel, of Lindsay and Harry of Scugog, three daughters (Elsie) Mrs. Ross, (Olive) Mrs, Cannon, of To- ronto, (Della) Mrs. Roy Henders, of Scugog; three brothers, John and George of Port Perry, and Daniel of Saskatoon, Mr. Raymes was laid to rest in Pine Grove Cemetery. Glad to hear little Dorothy Mark, daughter of Mr. Gordon Mark, who was taken very ill and is now in the Sick Children's Hospital, 1s getting along nicely. GIBSON At his home, Lot 6, Concession 3, Cartwright, at noon on Wednesday, 'ducted by his pastor, Rev. H. J. Bell, December 1st, 1987, there passed away to his Eternal Home, Frederick Rus- sell Gibson, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Gibson. Mr. Gibson (or Fred as he was known to the majority of Cartwright people) was born on August 1st, 1886, on the farm now owned by Mr, Harry McLaughlin, across the road from Mr, McLaugh- lin's residence. : In his teens, he with his parents, brother and sisters, moved to the farm on Purple Hill where he resided until called 'to Higher Service. In March, 1912, he was united in marriage to Edna Irene Graham, younger daughter of the late Mr, and Mrs, L. P, Graham, To this union were born seven child- ven. Their first born died when she was two days old, and their next daughter, - Marion was drowned in April, <1921, when she was four years of age. This was a terrible sorrow to both parents. The other children are Bruce, Cecil, Verna, Jean and Arthur, all at home with their mother. Mr. Gibson had: been in poor health for two years or more, but no one realized that he was so ill until about four weeks before he passed away. The service at the house was con- and at the grave-side by Rev. Mr. Bell and the Orange Order. He was a Past Master of L.O.L. 899, The pallbearers were Messrs. R, Spinks, R. Stinson, C. Graham, M. Mr. Gibson was a very jovial person, kind to all, a great lover of music, a good tempered man, and one whom to know was to respect. His greatest joy was his children.
