Hubbell, wanted here on charges of false pre- tenses, was arrested in Port land, Ore gon, yesterday, Chief Constable Owen D. Friend stated last night that Hub- bell will be brought back to trial as soon as extradition is arranged. Hubbel is charged with procuring a car by issuing a worthless cheque. With his when he was arrested was a young woman, - Hubbel attended a meeting of physicians here allegedly posing as a doctor from Timmins. The Oshawa woman went with the supposed Tim- mins physician as his assistant in a hospital which he was to open, police say. Since that time police have been unable to gain only fleeting informa- tion of his whereabouts. Early this week, the federal bureau of investigation at Washington was notified by authorities here and a complete description of the man and girl sent to the American capital. Province to Bring Him Back The province will bring Hubbell back to stand trial in Ontario County, and extradition proceedings will be taken if necessary, Attorney-General G. D. Conant said to-day.
