There were 108 en- rolled in the High School the opening morning; and 170 in the Public School. SCROOL FAIRS IN ONTARID COUNTY Plans. for School Fairs which will he held in Ontario County during the Month of September are now under way. Fourteen Fairs are scheduled to he held. In these fairs approxi- mately 120 schools from all townships in the County will compete, In '1938 entries in the Ontario County School' Fairs totalled over 11,000, with an es- timated attendance of 10,000 people. The morning programme will con-' sist of the placing of agricultural ex- hibits, judging of poultry and live- stock, holding of contests in knitting, weed naming, bird naming and first aid and the sports events. Features of the afternoon program will include school parade, school choruses, public speaking, recitation' and instrumental contests, Following the outdoor program the people will be permitted to inspect the' exhibits in the hall. This year cach! school will display a project which was completed during the previous school | term. This display will, no doubt,' prove very interesting to parents ana' other visitors, and it is hoped that these demonstrations of school work will link the new course of studies closely to the School Fairs.
