They have started the taskYof Pop- ularjzing yachting in this small town, and if the present enthusiasm for sailing continues Port Perry will see a small clubhouse on Lake *Scugog's shores and good racing among the members this season. Windeyer, past preSident of the Lake Yachting Association;- Com- modore Blake Van Winckle, secretary of the L.Y.R.A. and past commodore of the Queen City Yacht Club, and Col. W. H. Hedges, journeyed to Port Perry. to advise the youths in the for- mation of a club. - Major Windeyer, owner of the yacht Iolanthe, R.C.Y.C., pointed out the benefits of such an organization and urged the youth to make a great effort to build a club house, no matter how small. "After the races" he said "if you can gather in a club house it.is there that the races start all over again, when the sailors talk it all over and find out the mistakes that were made. The spirit of cameraderie in such gatherings grows rapidly and the clean sportsmanship of sailing brings out the best there is in any man.
