All who witnessed the. parade thought of the, vast importance of 'the British Empire at this time, and it brought home the necessity of putting all our resources in aid of the Victory Loan. An interesting event will take place in Burn's Church on Tuesday evening, June 17th, when pupils of the school will give a musicale. Every one wel- come, A silver collection in aid of the Red Cross. The regular meeting of the Red Cross will be held on Thursday, June 19th, when a quilt which was pieced by Mrs. F. Stevens, will be quilted and plans will bé made for a lawn social to be held at thie home of Mr. and Mrs, R. Goose, about July 10th, when a quilt donated by Mrs. Gladys Gordon, R.N., will be raffled. The girls of Mrs. E. Heron's Sunday School Class are busy making an autography sunray quilt, the proceeds of this quilt will go to the British War Victims' fund.
