This choir needed no introduction to Seagrave as they have ably entertained us be- fore. after spending a few days with re- ' latives at Omemee, The Zion Young People petite their play "The Man in the Green Shirt" at Manchester and Oakwood recently. Mr. Bruce Whitten spent the week- end with his parents in Toronto. Friday afternoon the teacher, Mr,. Whitten and pupils of Port Hoover School, entertained a number of par- ents and friends to a Hallowe'en party. The school was nicely deco- rated with candles and pumpkins for the occasion. The pupils gave a in- teresting program consisting of solos,' readings and music after which a nuniber of contests took place which met with the approval of all. A dainty lunch was served and a social time! spent. i Mr, and" Mrs, Bert Carpenter left on Saturday for Haliburton where they intend 'spending several weeksi with relatives. L . Mr, and Mrs. M. McMillan motored to Peterboro on Monday last. Mr. and Mrs. Stewart Hall spent Wednesday in Toronto. . Miss Ida McTaggart, of Lindsay, visited her parents here during the past week. : The Minister-of Don Mills Church, Rev, Harold Watt, was chairman for the evening.'
