BENTLEY'S OPTOMETRIST THE LATE REGINALD OWLES Last rites for "Reg" Owleg, who died in "Ross Memorial Hospital, in Lindsay, following a brief illness, on December 31st, were held in the A. L. McDermott Chapel, in' Port Perry, on Saturday, January 8rd. ~The service was conducted by Rev, Harold Lester, of Seagrave, and the Rev. Walter Tristram, a former pastor, gave the address, in which, as a personal ac- quaintance, he presented a vivid word portrait o fthe life and character of the deceased. Interment at Pine Grove Cemetery, Prince Albert, © "Reg" was born in Lelston, Surfolk, England, February 27th, 1870, and came to Toronto about 87 years ago, ther to Sonya, Port Perry, and finally settled in Seagrave, Living in Toronto for a number of years where he formed lasting friend- ships, he became associated in choral work, and sang with the Mendelssohn Choir. Passionately fond of music and singing, he was always found in the choir, band or orchestra, wherever he went. for little children, and was never so happy as when chatting with them in his own inimitable way. "Reg", he tried to speak well of every- one. There was an individual phil- osophy about him, and his way of life that was well worth studying, and it can be truthfully said, that he had no Rs, William J. Interment took place at Pine Grove Cemetery, Prince Albert. 'Mrs. Roy William Oke was well known to the public, especially at the. Water Front, where for some seasons he ran. the refreshment booth. He was particul- arly friendly with the children and careful of the needs of old people.
