Gibson, of Scotland, wife of Spr. Robert Gibson, who is serving overseas with the Canadian Army. Mrs, Gibson is stay- ing with Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Bentley. There was no Y. P. U. meeting on Tuesday night. The next meeting will be between Christmas and New -~ Years. Watch for further news about it. MARRIED SMITH--BLAIN WEDDING On Saturday, Decemuer 4th, 1943, the bride's home was the scene of a very pretty wedding when Catherine Jean, youngest_daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Blain, of Port Perry, was united in marriage to Ross Dean, son of Mr. V. Smith and the late Mrs. Smith, of Goodwood, Ont. The bride, who was given. in mar- riage by her father, wore a floor- floor-length veil and carried an arm bouquet of white and yellow mums. Mrs. John Greenwood, sister of -the bride, was matron of honour, and wore a floor-length gown of pale blue sheer and carried yellow mums, Mr. Edward Smith, brother of the groom, was groomsman, The ceremony was performed in an archway of white and pink streamers, the Rev, W. Harper read the origin of the music and words of the "Song from Heaven" (Silent night, Holy night), composed in 1818 in Austria. Mrs.-C. Smith gave a very impressive address on "The Little Town of Bethlehem". A slate of new officers was received. - A beautiful candle light worship service, led-by Mrs. Koch, closed a very delightful and enjoyable Christmas meeting.
