Nasmsith, Cpl Oscar Beare, R.C.A.F., who has Leen stationed at Trenton, has been transferred to Camp Borden, Oscar spent a couple of days this week with his mother, Mrs. Elijah Beare, before resuming duties at his new station. We are happy to welcome Mrs. Mein and family to Port Perry. Mrs. Mein has purchased the former Me- Millan property on Bigelow St., op- posite the home of Mr. Jas. Davey. We hope Mrs. Mein and her family will en- joy living in Port Perry. CONGRATULATIONS Congratulations to John Tristram, "son of H./Capt. W. R. Tristram, of the Veterans' Guard, Monteith, and Mrs. Tristram, of Port Perry, who has been promoted tothe rank of Able Seaman in the R,C.N.V.R. We had a pleasant little visit from Mr. A. Sibley, of New Liskeard, for- merly of Port Perry. He had not been here for 62 years, and naturally found many great changes. Mr, Sib ley's father worked in the Trounce Flour Mill.
