Mrs. Harrison spent several days at her home last week, and has re- turned to Napanee to be with her parents during the illness of her father, Herbert E. Trewin The death occurred suddenly Feb. 15, at Ottawa, of Herbert E. Trewin, 62, warehouse manager of McColl Frontenac Oil Company, Limited. Mr. Trewin took a heart attack in the office of the company and was pronounced dead on the arrival of Dr. Gordon Gunn, Well known jin business circles in Ottawa and district and prominent meniber of the congregation of the First United Church, Mr. Trewin re- sided at 168 Goulburn Ave. Ottawa. He had been attached to the staff of McColl Frontenac Oil Company Limi- ted for 15 years. Born in Cartwright Township, he was educated in public schools there. He was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Trewin, of Blackstock. In 1908 he was married to Ella Woods of Blackstock. He came to Ottawa 16 years ago. Mr. Trewin is survived by his wi- dow; two sons, H. Verne, of the Customs and Excise Branch of the Department of National Revenue, and Merle, Ottawa; one daughter, Mrs. W. K. Beattle, Ottawa; three brothers, Everett and Gardham of Blackstock, and Melville, Toronto; three sisters, Mrs, Richard Mason, Winnipeg; Mrs. Sydney Weston, Newdale, Man.; Mrs. Wilbert McQuade, Toronto, and two grandchildren, Elizabeth and Marigold Trewin of Ottawa, Pte. Bruce Mahaffly Home from Italy Back on 30 day leave from overseas, Pte. Bruce Mahaffy arrived in Bow- manville via C.N.R. and caught a ride up town on:Don Boe's C.N.R. express truck, Again the authorities were out in properly notifying local officials. A wire was received the day before that Bruce would arrive on the C.P.R. which turned out to be inaccurate in- formation, Bruce was not at all concerned when no one met him and grinned, "I was glad to get the lift by Don; it was better than walking anyway". Next he found that roads were blocked and he couldn't get home, so he tied into a beefsteak at a local cafe and stayed over night with friends, !
