CAUSLEY, Proprietor JACKSON Auction Sales TED JACKSON, Auctioneer FRIDAY, OCT. 19th -- Wood Lots, about 8 acres of Standing Timber, principally hardwood, the property of Carnegie Lumber Co., to be sold at Lot 7, Con. 4, Manvers Twp,, 1 mile Because we are still committed to huge expenditures directly account- able to the war. There are still hundreds of thousands of Canadian service men overseas awaiting repatriation. Pay and allowances for the Army of Occupation have to be continued and they must be housed, fed and cared for. The wounded and sick must be restored to health. War gratuities, re-establishment credits and the cost of special training to equip veterans for their return to civil life must be paid. '2. Will the 9th Loan really be Canada's Greatest? Yes. The Ninth Victory Loan, in reality, is two loans in one. It will cover public borrowing for the next twelve months. or this reason quotas have been advanced all over Canada. The quota for Ontario County has been placed at an all time high ot $5,050,000 which is $150,000 MORI than the quota for the 8th Victory Loan but $700,000 LESS than the total subscribed. 3. How can an individual be expected to buy more than before? : Because this loan covers a period of twelve months instead of the six- month period which has been the case in previous loans. This means that cash buyers can invest to the full extent of their previous subscriptions for a six-month period and arrange to invest an equal amount at a later date by using the deferred letter plan. Instalment buyers can purchase twice - the amount as previously and still maintain the same rate of pay deduction. 4. Can't people save without buying Bonds? Perhaps, but bond purchases in Ontario County in the last eight loans represented a substantial protection against the proverbial rainy day and these millions in many cases would not have been saved at all without Victory Loans. Victory Bonds give you a greater return on your money than any other investment of equal security in the country. They also provide you with a personal stake in the future of Canada.
