LOCAL NEWS Mr, and Mrs. W. T. Harris motored to Florida, and brought Mrs. W. H, Harris and Dr. R.:B. Harris home from their winter stay in the South, Both Mrs. W, H. Harris and Dr. Har- ris are much improved in health. Mr, and Mrs. Fred Beatty have re- turned home, after spending the win- ten in Florida. Mr. J. C. Whitby; of Brockville, has moved into the Albert Orchard house. He is the son of the late Mr. Chalmers Whitby, many years ago a tailer in Port Perry. We welcome the Whitby family to Port Perry, and trust that they will soon feel at home in comfort and friendship. Mrs. "Albert Orchard will make her home with the Misses Harris, and Miss Laura Orchard will be at home with her sister, Mrs. Alymer Cawker. Mrs. E. Wrathal and son Byron, of Port Hope; Mr, and Mrs. Donald Cawker and children, of Oshawa, Miss Noréne Cawker, of Toronto, were week-end visitors with Mr, and Mrs. W. W. Cawker, Mr. Tom Burns, who has been the Teller at the Bank of Commerce, has been transferred to the new branch at Long Branch. Mr. Norman Kerry has purchased the Rea property east of the Baptist Church and will move there shortly. Mr. and Mrs. Rae are moving to Lind- say. 'We are sorry to lose these good 'citizens. Mr. and Mrs. G. E. Evans, of To- ronto, were the guests of Mrs. W. C. Smith, at the Parsonage on Sunday. Mr. W. A. Evans has returned to Port Perry after spending the winter in Toronto.
