The following address was read by Glen Demara: Dear Margaret and Clem: -- We your friends of Scugog are gathered here to-night to congratulate you on your recent marriage, and to wish you many years Jf happy wedded life. We regret that you will not be liv- pleasure to know that you will not be very far away, and we will be seeing Clem in the store quite often. We are pleased to welcome Mar- garet to our community at any time, and we hope that she may feel very inuch at home in our midst. We, will think of you Clem as a member of Scugog, where you have where you went to school. For a number of years, now, you have been._a_ popular, helpful member (- of our groups in Church, choir and community life. It is our earnest wish that you both may be spared to enjoy many more years of that fine fellowship. The Club leaders, Mrs, Cooke and Mrs. Boundey, of Port year, -"The Club Girl Entertains." The meeting opened with one verse of hymn; "O God our help in ages past" and was. followed by prayer. During the business session the fol- President -- Mrs. Bonnie- Gerrow; Secretary, Evelyn Collins; Pianist, K. Frentice; Press reporter--Jean Sam- ells, Mrs. Cooke presented the girls with a suitable secretary's book. Mrs, Boundey explained the duties of the officers and presented the club with a gavel, which had been made by Mr. Boundey. - The girls appreciate the interest that has been shown to them by their, leaders and Mr. Boundey. . ' Next Mrs. Cooke gave a talk "on, "Home is a place to entertain", and "Interductions". '* The latter subject proved to be very amusing and inter- esting. = Mrs, Boundey then demon- strated the making of "Fancy Sand- wiches." Everyone tasted these dur- ing the dainty lunch which was served by our hostesses, The meeting closed with a hearty vote of thanks to Kay and Mrs. Prentice.
