Dr. Fletcher read the Scripture lesson and gave a very appealing talk on the lesson topic, "The Rock". Following a prayer by Dr. Fletcher, hymn 328 "How firm a Foundation", was sung. Kennedy, of Port Perry, were appreciated. The Sunday School picnic, likewise, proved to be a happy occasion, This year it was'held at Stephenson's Point. The weather was ideal. The waters of Lake Scugog were enjoyable for all who took a dip. Those who did 'not venture 'in amused themselves sitting on the shore on. rugs, watching the antics 'of the would-be human fish, and generally having 'a good social get- to-gether. ~ But without some plan- ningva picnic cannot have the maxi- mum of enjoyment.
