FREDERICK WILLIAM BEATTY : EVANS Frederick William Beatty Evans, 63, verteran of the first World War, died Wed., Jan. 7, 1958, in Sunny- brook Hospital where he had been a patient. for 14 months, Enlisting in the C.E.F, in 1914 at Edmonton he served in the Royal Can- adian Army Service Corps as an am- bulance driver and was severely gas- sed just days before the signing of the Armistice Nov., 1918. He had en- dured very poor health - since and spent long terms in the old Christie St. Hospital as well as Kingston DVA. For the past 24 years he has oper- ated with the help of his family, the picturesque little summer resort in Omemee familiarly known as "Cap's Place", Many of his patrons being Americans, : Son of the late Major James Evans and Sarah Fee he wis a life long ve- | sident of the village and a mechanic by trade. His wife the former Myra Williamson died in June 1940 leaving him. with an infant son Charles along 'with James, Beatty, Katherine (Mrs. |' Keith Hickson) and Mrs, Alan Red- man (Evelyn) of Port Perry. Also survived by one brother and four sis- ters Melville of Ladner B,C., Mrs. Skinner (Jennie) of Vancouver, Mrs. MacPherson (Irene) Alberta, Mrs. F. C._Fielding, of Coboconk, Mrs, R.
