Martyn, who gave a. fine paper on "Thoughts on the Cor- onation"., The singing -of God Save the Queen" and the Mizpah Benedic- tion closed the meeting. Mrs. M. Group 2 served a delightful lunch. Mr. Isaac Barkey and daughter, and Mr. Ed. Barkey, of Stouffville, visited Mr. and Mrs. Raymer, recently. We extend sympathy to Mrs, Fred Lyle, of Myrtle, on the sudden death of her -husband, Mr. Fred Lyle. They were former residents of this village, and lived where Mrs, MacGregor now resides. They also lived on a farm just south of the yillage. Flag of Si. George _ was dedicated by the Rector, Rev. H. S. Swabey, M.A, B.D., at Sunday evening service of the Church of the Ascension. It was conducted by Mr. A Allen and sponsored by the Church Wardens, Councillor H. Santer and E. Sulman. On Coronation Day the flag flew from -the flag pole over the main en- trance of the Church of the Ascension for the first time and will be flown in future on all special occasions, MYRTLE The community was saddened by the death of Mr. Fred Lyle on Friday night last. Mr, Lyle was in collision with a fast driving automobile and was instantly killed.
