B. D. Armstrong the Chureh service was cancelled and ~ a:short Sunday School meeting. was held with Mr, Walter 'Kerr acting as chairman. ~The following officers were flected for the ensuing year: Superintendent---Mr, Edgar Heron Ass, Sup't--Mr. W. Anderson Secretary--Mpr. Neil Johnston Ass, Sec.--Mr. Earl Paynter Treasurer--Mr, Luther Bradley -Pianist--Glenna Bradley Missionary Con.--Peggy Graham The Missionary objective for the 'year was set at $250.00. The regular monthly meeting of the Ladies Bible Class was held at the home of Mrs, Fred Daw on Tuesday, Jan. 19, with a good attendance. The meeting opened with the sing- ing of hymn 26 "Blessed Assurance". The scripture lesson, John 15, was "read by Mrs, Peter Barrie and Mrs. R. | Batten gave a short explanation- of the scripture reading. Hymn 41 "What a Friend we have in Jesus", in prayer. The secretary Miss Florence Doble, read the minutes of the previous meeting. Mrs. A. Parrott, Mrs. Wm. Hopkins, Mrs. A, Dean and Mrs, E. Heron were appointed as the visiting committee for the ensuing month. Mrs, Nelson Ashton and Mrs. James Sandi- son Were appointed as the program committee for the next meeting. Mrs. A.
