Reports showed average at- tendance for the year, ninety-five and most departments in good standing. On Sun, a.m, there were forty pupils from beginners through intermediate classes who were presented with their awards for regular attendance. Hutton gave the address. Owing to the rain and ice this not well at- tended, Thursday everything was called off, even to school, as it was not safe for buses to try to travel on icy roads. We are very sorry to learn that Miss Barrie, one of the high school teacher's is ill in the hospital at Peterboro. Mr. Brackenbury, Port Hope, a retired principal has -been engaged to: take her place until able to return; Murs. J. Kincade has gone to spend some time with Mrs. Arthur Van- Camp. Mrs. Fred Bailey left Sat. for Wind- sor where she expects to spend the winter with her daughter's family-- the S. Lawson's. Mr, and Mrs. Roy Avery and family returned to Tilbury Saturday after spending two weeks with friends here. Glad to report little Carlyle better. Flans for raising funds were discussed and com- mittees appointed for same. It was decided to pack a bale for the "Save the Children Fund." Congratulations to Harvey Graham on coming head of the class of forty- four at Kemptville Agricultural Col- lege. He made 93.7%. On Monday he returned to college after the long holiday.
