Presbyterial in Trinity Church, Bow- manville on Wednesday, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Taylor left Thurs. for Florida. Messrs. Ralph Strong and his room mate Bill Underhay of Veitoria Col- lege spent the week-end with the Gordon Strongs. A good number of friends gathered at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Wilbert Archer on Saturday night in honor of their danghter Mildred and her hus- pand, Mr. aid Mrs. Bert Smith. A bounteous lunch was served and all enjoyed a social visit. Mrs. Jas. Henry, Mr, Melville Grif- fin and Doris attended the funeral of Miss Margaret Johnston in Janetville on Saturday. A very nice Day of Prayer service was held in the Anglican Church on Friday evening with several members of . the Anglican, Presbyterian and United ' Churches taking part. Mrs, C. W. Greaves and Ivan Thompson came home from the curling jitney in Lindsay Saturday with a chicken apiece, having tied with another rink for first place. Owing to the mild weather last week the O.N.O. skating party turned out to be a card party, but never the less an enjoyable evening. Mr. and Mrs. J. J. Flett and Donna, Mrs. J. E. Flett, Misses Lorna and Shirley Harris, Bowmanville, were supper guests of Mr. and Mrs, Ed. Harris Tuesday evening.
