Tuesday night the Young People's sponsored their Variety Program in the church parlors. The treasurer Miss E. Keizebrink was posted at the door for admission as the folk arrjved. The president Miss Dianne Cunning- 'ham introduced of. Hornswaggle (Mrs. Newnham) who acted as chair- man, welcomed the audience and ask- ed Mr. Bruce Snelgrove to lead in a sing-song of various familiar hymns. Mus. Now the evening was away with short' skits, comedy numbers, violin and vocal solos; piano duets, guitar selections by "Three Country Cousins". The young folk in a body rendered several songs of religious nature plus popular tunes. Mrs. G. Hunter accom- panied all musical numbers at the piano. The members sold around sixty bags of donated candy during inter- mission, this all disappeared in a mat- ter of minutes. This portion of the entertainment closed with repeating Mizpah benegdict- ion. At this time we were priviledge in having an opportunity to travel by motor to the Maritime Provinces when Mr. B. Snelgrove patiently showed and described his lovely collection of colour ed pictures. Thanks Bruce. $ A sincere thanks to those who turn. ed out to help the young fry. The pro. ceeds climbed to over twenty dollars. Mr. and Mrs. Luke and Paul, Ham- iltont spent Sundgy with Mrs. C. Luke. Mr. and Mrs. G. Hunter and family enjoyed Sunday in Havelock with Mrs. Mac Robertson and girls. Mr. and Mrs. James Davidson Jr, were. guests, at the Howes-Day wedd- ing on Saturday in Port Perry United Church.
